Intake Coordinator, Your Elder Experts

Marjorie has more than 30 years of social work experience focused on older adults and caregivers, including work in home care, hospitals, rehabilitation settings, and nursing homes throughout Greater Boston. For 19+ years, she has provided information and resources through SeniorDirect, a service of JF&CS offering information and advice on all resources related to older adults. 

Marjorie is often one of the first people families speak with when they call Your Elder Experts. Through these conversations, Marjorie has developed a deep understanding of the questions families have and the challenges they face as needs change. Callers often comment on her calm and reassuring manner, and her colleagues value the patience she brings to her work. She combines compassion and empathy with extensive knowledge of community resources, helping families begin to understand their options and what may be helpful for their particular circumstances.


Marjorie also co-facilitates a support group for adult children whose parents are living with memory loss. Her experience across care settings, community resources, and conversations with families gives her a broad perspective on the many different ways families navigate aging and caregiving.
